Welcome to The 05: A Culinary Gem in Greenville

“ To die for family style tapas! The 05 is the perfect place to enjoy food as a group. Tapas are general small bites to be shared but what The 05 does is elevated that in larger portions so everyone gets to really taste the flavors coming from each dish. They are known for their Brussels sprout salad which lived up to the hype. I found myself digging through to make sure all of the Brussels sprouts were really gone. I wasn’t sure the sweet potatoes would work but with the cheese and nuts it all came together in such a unique way. We couldn’t stop eating it. The tuna nachos were made with fresh wonton chips, chopped tuna, guacamole, and a wasabi aioli. I had to fight my husband for the few bites he let me take. He’s a big fan of wontons and wanted to order a second just to keep eating them. Finally the Garlic Shrimp, get them. For such a simple dish the flavors were built into this dish so well. I really enjoyed the garlic oil which definitely shouldn’t be skipped. Everything on this plate just makes sense together. The shrimp were beautifully cooked paired with the tomatoes and feta it’s so simple but there is nothing simple about the flavors. I love this type of dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The drink menu is well thought out and offers many options. The staff here is friendly but more than they they help each other’s tables so that you know there is someone available whenever you need anything. We will definitely be back! ”

“ We LOVED it! Such a great, local find, how did we not know before? We will be regulars, after that incredible Brussel sprouts salad. What a flavor profile! And the smash burger was the best, with nice potato wedges for a side. And we loved the inside dining experience. it was just perfect sized with plenty tables, especially the booth wall was so comfy. Felt like a cafe in Paris. Helpful and attentive staff. New fav place! ”

“ Great food and drinks. Fresh and consistent. We don’t usually order a burger out because we like to grill at home but the smash burger is so good. We order a Brussels sprout salad and a burger and split every thing. Best of all worlds! ”

“ We drove over an hour to eat here for my son’s birthday. We are vegan/pescatarian and loved everything we ordered. We got the nachos for an appetizer, so different! No cheese sauce here, they put an Asian spin on nachos. They were really good. We ordered the veggie burger and it was amazing. The tomato jelly is delicious. My husband preferred their house made ranch with the potato wedges. My son got the paella and absolutely loved it. I will def try that next time. I ordered a mock tail and it was perfect. Our service was great. The only downside was the Christmas party happening behind us. The drunk women were literally screaming and hollering, making our family night a bit awkward. We can’t wait to go back and try the other vegan options. ”

The presentation was beautiful, and you can tell a lot of care went into preparing it. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. “ Good place to have a date night. Quaint and cozy ambience. The food was Delicious and the servers were very friendly and took good care of us while we were dining. Will return again. ”

“ This restaurant has been on our list for many years and we finally were able to make it! The restaurant was smaller than expected with an open dining area with a big opening leading towards the outdoor (at the time enclosed) seating area. The noise level was a little loud, but not enough for it to be a problem. The restaurant has a clever name, based on their zip code. 296...05. The 05! The atmosphere was great and the service was even better! There were two waitresses that took care of the tables and they worked really well as a team. The food was outstanding!! The table had 3 amazing cocktails (if you're a Moscow Mule fan they have so many options!) and the wings as an appetizer. Bourbon Chipotle. A little heat and a whole bunch of flavor! For our entrees we had the smash burger (oh my gosh soooooo good!!), The paella, and the flat bread of the day (broccoli, goat cheese, arugula, maybe some heaven in there too). The waitresses mentioned the brussel salad was the top dish, so next time we are going to try that! I was a little shocked that they only had one dessert, but to be honest after everything we had and their nice portions, there was no room in our happy full bellies. ”
